What am I out to prove?

How does this happen? This quote almost scares me into doing too much self-evaluation.
I think the primary evaluation is in the balance of life.
It happens in my life whenever I'm more concerned with people and activity and not at all careful to hang on to good and at times some long time with Christ, reading, hearing, thinking His thoughts. He keeps me honest, activity often doesn't.
